You can make a difference!!
Being a volunteer at McCHDO can be a variety of services.
- In September you can either be part of a team or put a team together to do a project for Repair Affair.
- Assist with the Yes You Can Classes each spring and fall sessions.
- Volunteer at fundraisers.
DIY Members can earn their eight hours of volunteer services by:
- Cleaning McCHDO offices
- Answering office phones.
- Referring someone to the DIY program which counts for an hour of service.
- Bringing food for volunteers at the McCHDO events.
- Volunteering at the DIY warehouse.
- Assisting another member with the installation of materials from DIY in their homes.
Churches and businesses can help with having teams for Repair Affair or sponsoring a project for Repair Affair. They can also come by and assist with the unloading of trucks that arrive at the DIY warehouse.
